Meditation is the art of relaxing the mind and creating a transcending physical experience. It can be therapeutic, enjoyable, enlightening and self improving. 

Meditation can be practiced alone or in groups. It can be practiced silently or through deep listening with the help of music or a guided meditation. Music for relaxation is a combination of slow sweet and soft music generally made up from sounds of nature, synthesizers, harps, flutes and soft vocals.

Meditation can be achieved from a great selection of music or sounds from that of Gong's, Bells or Bowls both metal (Tibetan) or vibrational singing Crystal Bowls. Meditating to the sounds of the Crystal Bowls works wonders. Creating a simple sound that pierces the mind and creates a point of focus can cause every other sensation to cease. Eventually all experiences fade away and only that experience of the present moment exists.

Meditation is one of the confirmed alternative psychoanalysis. It can be broadly classified under the mind-body and remedy or medicine.

More and more astrologers, spiritual leaders and Doctors are prescribing meditation as a way to lower blood pressure, improve, help people with asthma breathe easier, relieve insomnia and generally relax the everyday stresses of life. Meditation is a safe and simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states. It is simple; but can benefit everybody.

Meditation generally involves avoiding wandering thoughts and fantasies, and calming and focusing the mind. Meditation does not necessarily require effort and can be experienced as "just happening". Physical postures include sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and walking (sometimes along designated floor patterns). Quiet is often desirable, and some people use repetitive activities such as deep breathing, humming or chanting to help induce a meditative state.

Meditation can be done with the eyes closed (as long as one does not fall asleep), or with the eyes open: focusing the eyes on a certain point of an object or image, and keeping the eyes constantly looking at that point.
                                 Purposes of meditation

The purposes for which people meditate vary almost as widely as practices. It may serve simply as a means of relaxation from a busy daily routine, or even as a means of gaining insight into the nature of reality or of communing with one's God. Many have found improved concentration, awareness, self-discipline and equanimity through meditation.
